Kobe Airport, located on a recently constructed island near Kobe, is a regional airport mainly offering low cost carrier flights within Japan. One of three Kansai region airports, along with Kansai International Airport and Osaka Itami Airport.
Sannomiya Station is Kobe's number one terminal, located approximately 2km east of Kobe Station. It is operated by JR West as part of the Kobe Line between Osaka Station and Himeji Station.
A major stop on the Sanyo Main Line and the western end of the JR Kobe Line. Aside from its proximity to Japan's most famous castle, the station is also known as the first in Japan to sell Makunouchi-style lunch boxes.
